KCM TURNS 30-YEAR-OLD DREAM INTO REALITY
Konkola Copper Mines plc has launched completion of Phase-1 of its multi-million dollar-Konkola Deep Mining Project (KDMP) in Chililabombwe. The development marks the realisation of a 30-year-old dream by Zambia to access a rich ore-body lying at the deeper reaches of Konkola Mine. The launch involved the official commissioning of Mid-shaft loading at No4 Shaft of the KDMP on April 20, 2010, marking a major step in KCM’s stated quest to increase its copper production to 500 000 tonnes/annum.

KCM ANNOUNCES IMPROVED Q3 PRODUCTION
Konkola Copper Mines plc, a subsidiary of the London-listed FTSE 100 Vedanta Resources Group plc reports that it has produced 41 958 tonnes of finished copper in the 3rd Quarter of the 2009/2010 FY.

WHISTLE - BLOWER POLICY

Konkola Copper Mines Plc has introduced the Whistle – Blower policy. Under this policy the company encourages employees and other stakeholders to report or send complaints directly to either the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Operations or the Mine Security wing any suspicious activities.
